Year End Party and Last Game

Hey Softball Families,

We are gathering at Abby's on DIAMOND LAKE BLVD at 5:30pm this Friday for our year end party. Each girl will collect their trophy and dvd with season highlights. There will be special awards for each girl as well.

We will show the DVD and folks can buy their own food and drinks if they want.

Remember: Practice Wednesday at 5:30 at Eastwood and final game for the championship of the world on Friday at 7:00 (game starts at 7:30)

Awesome Game

Your girls did FANTASTIC last night!!!

I am so proud of how they ALL went out there with heart and spirit to play their best. Even better, how they continued to play hard even when I mixed things up to allow girls to play positions they wouldn't normally play.

All in all last night I think was the most fun night so far. Please encourage your girls to KEEP IT UP no matter what the shirt color of our opponents.

Thanks for everyone's help last night...esp Angie for lining the field, Melinda for team momming, Lisa for the treats, Marion for scorekeeping and Shawn for stepping in for Howard. You guys are all AWESOME!!

See you all Wed. at 5:15pm for practice. We will NOT practice on Friday because of the holiday weekend. So PLEASE work with your girl over the weekend.

Heading Out!

Lisa and I will gone through Wed. May 13th and will be absent for three games and several practices. Coach Howard and Shawn will be responsible for the team, so please be present and on time!

Last night was a challenging evening with me sitting on the sidelines and playing a double header. I want to appologize for all the drama to this date and will make ever effort not to repeat the happenings of the last week.

Our girls are just as good as the other teams, they just need to believe it and not get down on themselves. Please work with them on pulling up their boot straps and rebounding from errors. They are good enough and strong enough and I believe in them.

I will be thinking of your guys and missing the girls while I am away.

Play hard and win a couple for me wouldya? :)

Double Header!

We are scheduled to meet up with the Sim's team from Sutherlin to make up our Rain Out from the first of the season. It is set for directly following our Thursday game and will have a 1.5 hour firm time limit since we were already into the game when it was called.

We are the visiting team for both our games on Thursday night. So please stick around a few minutes to help pick up around the field, put away the bases, and rake the field out.

Wow!

What a game! A double, 4 runs, 3 up 3 down, double play, strikeouts, hits, trick plays, and a coach got kicked out! Wow...

Our girls are really showing their stuff! I am so proud of their hard work and determination. I am also proud to have been kicked out defending their interests. I am disappointed though, that I could not celebrate their triumphs as they happened.

I am sure as the season progresses, that we will see victory against the orange team.

Games 3 & 4 (slide show)

First Win!

We really showed our stuff on Saturday with a triumphant win. The girls played hard and had fun...which is most important.

A busy day of photos, game, and ceremonies..the Sands were there until the evening with 3 girls playing on 3 different teams!!

Great Game!

Our first full game was amazing! The girls worked hard and almost beat what I had thought going into the season would be the toughest team. And boy was it hard picking ONE player to give a game ball to...but in the end Kirstyn showed how far someone can grow in a short amount of time with her stand up double!

Thanks to all the parents for helping me set up the field! During Home games, this is essential to get the girls warmed up.

Remember, our pictures are at 8:15 tomorrow and game is at 9:00! Then we stick around for opening ceremonies at noon.

I am proud of our girls and am proud to be involved with this program.

Schedule Changes

Please note the following changes in our Softball Calendar:

No practice on Friday, March 27th. I will be unavailable and Howard, my assistant has not had the chance to meet the girls yet because of his work schedule.

I have added three batting practices in addition to our regular practices. These will be at gaddis park. Please check our online calendar for the additions.

These batting practices are optional, but strongly recommended.

Goin Great!

Our young ladies are doing great! We are honing skills, learning new ones, and making friends. I am glad we drafted the team we did...it is going to be a great season!

Just so you know, our uniforms are going to be dark green and our sponsor is Evergreen Medical.

Great Start

We had 9 of 11 girls at out first practice and all seem rearing to go! The parents look like they are all going to be great contributors to our team and I look forward to getting to know each of you.
